Vintage 1970s Hand Painted Folk Art Wooden Tea Box
A seriously charming vintage wooden trinket box with a wonderfully theatrical folk-art feel. Hand-painted in deep green, burnt orange, mustard and black, with swirling decorative motifs, a central monogram-style detail and an unusual raised lid featuring a curved handle, finial and two sculptural side details.
The box has a lovely worn, aged finish throughout, with plenty of visible brushwork and patina that gives it real character. Inside is a simple wooden compartment, perfect for jewellery, keepsakes, matches or other little treasures.

Why We Love It
One of those pieces that makes a room feel instantly more interesting. The slightly eccentric shape, bold colour combination and hand-painted decoration make it feel much more like a little piece of folk art than an ordinary storage box. Perfect left out on a dressing table, bookshelf or sideboard.
