Sustainability

Lourose Vintage is the lovechild of passion for style and care for our planet.

Being aware of our current detrimental, consumerist, fast-production culture means understanding the importance of thoughtful shopping.

By choosing to buy pre-loved we are helping to shape a more conscious, considered future by valuing our past.

We define vintage as anything produced more than 20-25 years ago before fast-fashion and celebrity influence drove demands for more quickly and cheaply manufactured goods.

Beforehand the resources and skills required to make garments were typically far greater valued, so that clothes were made with respect, longevity, versatility and quality first in mind.

Not only this but fashion houses were considerably smaller producing lesser, rarer garments.

We live in this ethos - sourcing beautiful & unique clothes that are meant to last lifetimes, contributing to circularity and that make you feel and look amazing.

We source on hand and foot, using public transport and occasionally car, lessening our carbon footprint as much as possible.

All of our bags, tags and packaging materials are made from recycled waste or produced via sustainable practices and are 100% recyclable.

We take pride in contributing as little impact on our planet as possible, leaving all the impact making to you!

How we measure:

All size guides detailed on the product page are gathered by laying flat and measuring across.

Shoulder across*: From seam to seam across the front

*Estimated/approximately - if the garment doesn't have a seam, where it is naturally assumed to sit

Shoulder to cuff/hem: From the top shoulder seam to the end of the cuff or sleeve

Armpit to armpit: Across from seam to seam, doubled for total around measurement

Bust: Just below the armpit, the largest part of the chest

Under bust: Where the bra strap naturally sits

Waist: Across the natural waist

Hips: Across the widest part of the hip area

Waist to crotch: From the top edge to the bottom of the crotch curve

Inside leg: From the crotch curve to the bottom hem

Total lengths: From the very top of the garment to the bottom, including straps.

Our returns policy

Lourose Vintage operates a case by case exception returns policy.

If for whatever reason you are not happy with your purchase please contact us within 3 days of your delivery to discuss your return options.

Due to the nature of our products being one-off and generally one of a kind we do not accept returns for full refunds. In most cases and if the items are returned in their original quality we are happy to offer you a store credit across our range of products, which never expires.
