Vintage 1960s Japanese Style Blue Floral Glazed Ceramic Vase
A striking vintage ceramic vase with a beautifully detailed, richly coloured design. The rounded body is finished in deep cobalt blue and decorated all around with raised and painted floral and botanical motifs in pale blue, cream, pink and ochre.
The tall, flared neck features blue vertical striping with warm brown detailing, while the base and rim are finished with contrasting dark brown glaze. Decorative pierced-style detailing around the neck, shoulder and foot adds an unusual architectural quality.
A really lovely example of the decorative ceramics popular throughout the mid-20th century, with a distinctly Japanese-inspired floral aesthetic.

Why We Love It
The colour combination on this one is so good - deep blue with those warm brown details and softer botanical colours. It has that slightly unusual, collected feel that works beautifully amongst books, ceramics and other vintage pieces rather than looking too polished or contemporary.
