Vintage 1950s Green Ceramic and Silver Lidded Jug
A beautifully unusual vintage jug with a deep forest green glazed ceramic body and a striking silver-pewter metal top. The elongated shape has a wonderfully elegant silhouette, finished with a long curved handle and a wide flared foot.
The polished silver tone section forms the rounded upper body and hinged lid, complete with an unusual pointed finial and shaped pouring spout. The contrast between the glossy dark green ceramic and aged silver gives it a very distinctive mid-century look.
The lid is removable and the interior is dark glazed ceramic. A particularly good decorative piece for a drinks cabinet, bar cart or kitchen shelf.

Why We Love It
This is such a good-looking piece - almost halfway between a traditional ceramic jug and something from a 1950s cocktail bar. The dark green and silver combination feels particularly cool, and the unusual lid and handle make it a real statement piece.
