Vintage 1930s Arthur Wood Cobalt Blue Gold Floral Porcelain Jug
A beautiful vintage Arthur Wood porcelain jug, decorated in rich cobalt blue, ivory and gold. The striking design combines geometric panels with delicate floral motifs, stylised gold foliage and an intricately patterned border. The fluted lower section, angular foot and sculptural handle give it the distinctive decorative character of early 20th-century English pottery.

Condition: Good vintage condition with expected age-related wear. There is some rubbing to the gilding, light surface wear and characteristic crazing to the glaze, particularly visible to the underside. Please see photographs for details.
Why We Love It: The colour combination is gorgeous - that deep cobalt blue against the warm gold feels especially striking. A lovely example of Arthur Wood pottery and the kind of piece that looks just as good displayed on a shelf as it does amongst a collection of vintage ceramics.
