Vintage 1980s Lurpak Ceramic Butter Dish & Toast Rack Set | Douglas Retro Kitchenware

Vintage 1980s Lurpak Ceramic Butter Dish & Toast Rack Set | Douglas Retro Kitchenware

Description
A brilliant piece of retro kitchenware and a proper bit of vintage advertising nostalgia. This original Lurpak ceramic breakfast set includes a cream glazed butter dish with Douglas the Lurpak butter man on the lid, alongside the matching four-slot toast rack.

The pieces are marked “Made exclusively for Lurpak” and have the classic blue and red Lurpak branding. Douglas merchandise was produced from the 1980s onwards, making this a lovely example of 1980s/1990s retro kitchenware and vintage advertising memorabilia.

Creamy ceramic, playful details and a wonderfully nostalgic feel - equally good for actually using at breakfast or styling on an open shelf. A great find for collectors of vintage Lurpak, retro kitchenalia, ceramic advertising pieces and quirky homeware.

Condition

Good vintage condition with some light signs of age and use. There are minor marks/wear to the ceramic consistent with its age. Please see photographs for the most accurate representation of condition.

Why We Love It

Honestly, what’s not to love? The little Douglas figure makes this so much more fun than your average butter dish and toast rack. It’s the kind of nostalgic kitchen piece that looks brilliant left out on display rather than hidden away in a cupboard.
