Extremely Rare Vintage 1940s Copeland Spode Porcelain ‘England Springtime’ Pattern Hand Painted & Assembled Teapot.
Spode porcelain was introduced around 1800 and quickly became the standard English bone china.
This elegant collectors tall teapot is in decorated with an array of colourful flowers including roses, gladiolus and more. The delicate ‘double’ entwined handle is long in length mirroring the long swan neck spout. The body is slightly ribbed and bulbous funnelling into a lightly scalloped top edge. The lid is topped with a little sweet peach!
Such a beautiful ornate antique piece. Great condition, there is a small paint mark as seen in the images.
