Vintage 1940s Set of 4 Vintage John Maddock & Sons Ivory Ware Floral Bowls
A charming set of four vintage John Maddock & Sons Ivory Ware soup / breakfast bowls, made in England and dating to approximately the 1940s–1950s. Finished with a delicate floral border in soft blues, pinks, coral and yellow with subtle gilt edging, they have a wonderfully nostalgic feel, somewhere between English country house and cosy farmhouse kitchen.
The gently scalloped shape and shallow bowl design make them perfect for soup, pasta, puddings or everyday meals. Their warm ivory tone and cheerful floral sprays bring plenty of vintage charm to the table, whether mixed with other pieces or used as a set.
Condition
Good vintage condition with age-related wear to the gilt trim and some light crazing visible, consistent with age and use. No chips or cracks noted.
