Vintage Estimated circa 1930s Brown Betty Mottled Large Teapot
This remarkable collectors piece Made In England, is a large 6 cup capacity, featuring a beautiful brown, green and yellow mottle marbling. The Brown Betty’s are characterised by their round shape, deep manganese glaze and red Etruria Marl Staffordshire clay which can be seen on the underside of the lid.
These classic teapots are coined for their simple unpretentious appearance, everyday appeal and function and high heat retention.
In excellent vintage condition. There is some visible crazing and a tiny chip at the end of the spout, which doesn’t affect the use of the teapot.
