Vintage 1950s Hand Made Violet Plunge Fit & Flare Midi Dress with pocket (!!), button up straps, zip up and pleated A Line skirt
This handmade one of a kind perfect purple fit and flare dress epitomises the 50s 'New Look' shape and style.
The deep triangular bust panels are joined with gentle pleats to the back fastening straps and front 'underbust' empire panel. This wide waist section draws the eye into the mid-figure for that gorgeous Monroe hourglass silhouette. Over the shoulder pinafore style straps join to the back section revealing a large area of the back for that extra sensuality.
Pintuck pleats form the base of the shape for the 'flare' section of dress - a classic below knee length flowing skirt to flip and flirt the night (or day) away in!
NOTE this dress maintains a pocket on the right hand side!!!
A truly stunning dress that has been much loved and valued. One of the original buttons has been replaced. There is a small bleach stain as photographed and what looks like a chalk line across the hem but is not noticeable when worn. The shoulder straps are lightly sun faded but not noticeable when on.
