Hand-painted in deep green, burnt orange, mustard and black, with swirling decorative motifs, a central monogram-style detail and an unusual raised lid featuring a curved handle, finial and two sculptural side details.

The box has a lovely worn, aged finish throughout, with plenty of visible brushwork and patina that gives it real character.
